Klaviyo joins: email and SMS performance beside the ad spend that produced it
TL;DR
Klaviyo answers the question an ads dashboard cannot: what the email and SMS programme did with the traffic the ads bought. Campaign, flow, form and segment reporting sits next to ad spend in the same run, and the writes are there for the parts worth automating without being there for the parts that should not be.

- 13 reads. Campaigns, flows, lists, segments, metrics and the four report families, with anomaly detection on the series.
- 40 writes. Lists, tags, segments, templates, draft campaigns, flow status, images, the custom catalog, coupons and coupon codes, and UTM tracking settings.
- Writes are opt-in. The default connection requests read scopes only; the write scopes are added by an operator and granted by a re-authorization — a connection never silently gains the ability to change anything.
- Catalog items are created unpublished, and publishing one is a person-class decision.
Report rates come back as fractions between 0 and 1, not percentages. The tools keep them that way rather than multiplying silently, because a rate that has been "helpfully" converted twice is indistinguishable from one that has not.
What always waits for a person
- Every delete. Lists, segments, templates, campaigns, tags, catalog items, coupons.
- Setting a flow live. A flow going live starts sending to real people — that is not an unattended decision on any lane, including auto-approve.
- Redefining a segment that a live flow depends on, because the blast radius is everyone the flow would reach.
