AI agent for Snapchat Ads: stats, ad squads, creatives, pixels and audiences — changes approved first by default
TL;DR
The agent reads your Snapchat Ads performance as Snap's Measurement API reports it, in your account's currency, time zone and attribution window, and manages campaigns, ad squads and ads; by default every change waits for your approval. Money is converted from Snap's micro-currency once, so 25 means 25.00; every write is checked against the ad account you selected; nothing is deleted or sent live without a person.
Connecting it, and what it asks for
- 1Open Integrations and click Connect on the Snapchat Ads card.
- 2Sign in with the Snapchat account that has a role in your Snap Business Manager organization (and on the ad accounts — admin or general for campaign changes, creative for creatives, audience for segments, reports for stats).
- 3Write the goal.
Scopes: snapchat-marketing-api (Snap's one read-and-write scope) and snapchat-profile-api (read your Public Profiles — every creative needs one). The Conversions API scope is opt-in per deployment. One login lists every ad account of every organization it can reach, grouped by organization. A first goal worth typing: Which ad squads spent the most last week for the fewest purchases, and what would you pause?
What the agent reads
- Stats at account, campaign, ad squad, ad or creative level — daily, hourly (up to 7 days) or totals — with breakdowns by geography, demographic, interest or device and Snap's swipe-up and view attribution windows.
- Campaigns, ad squads, ads, creatives and media, with review and delivery status; audience segments with their readiness; Snap Pixels and the domains that fired them; funding sources.
- Snap's own bid estimate, audience size and spend guidance before anything is built; daily anomaly detection against a weekday-aware baseline.
What the agent can change — always approved first
- Pause or activate campaigns, ad squads and ads; change budgets, spend caps, bids and bid strategy; edit targeting (merged, never wiped), schedules and dayparting.
- Create campaigns, ad squads and ads — all paused — upload video or image creative from a public URL, make creatives with a Public Profile, and put UTM parameters on landing pages without losing what is already there.
- Build audience segments from pixel events, engagement or a customer list hashed on our servers with Snap's rules, and lookalikes from them; create a Snap Pixel; send Conversions API events to Snap's test endpoint.
- Deleting anything, emptying a customer list and sending live conversion events always wait for a person: Snap has no archive state.
Things worth knowing
- Snap finalizes metrics 48 hours after the end of the day in the ad account's time zone; the agent ends reviews at yesterday and says when a range is still provisional.
- Snap stores money as micro-currency; the agent converts once and shows major units everywhere, in the ad account's own currency.
- Ad squads have immutable goals and placements — a different optimization goal is a new ad squad, which the agent will say rather than try to patch.
Frequently asked questions
- Does Agent Planners support Snapchat Ads?
- Yes. Twenty-one reads and twenty-five approval-gated writes cover stats with attribution windows, campaigns, ad squads, ads, creatives, media, segments, pixels, planning estimates, customer lists hashed on our servers and test-mode Conversions API events.
- Can it delete campaigns?
- Only with a person's approval, every time: Snapchat has no archive state, so a delete is permanent. For a reversible stop the agent pauses instead.
- Does it send conversion events?
- By default to Snap's validate endpoint, which checks the events without counting them. A live send needs the Conversions API scope on the connection and a person's approval.
- Does it work alongside Google, Meta and TikTok?
- Yes. The same run can compare Snapchat with your other ad platforms on the same metrics and propose changes on each, with one approval queue for all of them.
